Privacy Issues

You have heard that a significant change in a child’s mood could be a cause for concern. You have noticed such a change in your teenage daughter lately, but she just dismisses your concerns when you ask her about it.

Try This

1
Your teenage daughter has been very moody lately. You are worried, but she refuses to talk to you about it. Because of your concern, you read a portion of her diary that she keeps in her bedroom. You discover that she is being pressured by her boyfriend to become more intimate or he will break up with her. Now you know why she is upset, but if you confront her about it you also will have to tell her that you invaded her privacy. Write about this complex problem in the space provided. How are you going to speak with your daughter about both of these issues? How can you approach her so that you are heard and listen so that she is also heard?
