Succeeding in the World of Work

Chapter 7: Interviewing

Personal Academic and Career Portfolio Help

Develop Interviewing Skills

Interviewing is a skill that you will continue to build throughout your career. Continue to add to the "Job Interviews" section as you gain experience with interviews. Include information and feedback from practice interviews as well as real-life interviews, analyzing what you did well and what you could improve.

Revisit the answers to common and difficult interview questions that you wrote during your study of the chapter. As you grow and learn, your answers might change. Without looking at the answers you wrote the first time, answer the questions again. Compare the new answers with any others you wrote. It is also helpful to create a list of likely interview questions for the specific career or career cluster that interests you, along with detailed answers.
