Have student research the life and career of Antoine-Laurent Lavoisier, a French chemist. Ask students to design a time line with brief descriptions of 20 events to represent Lavoisier's biography and his contributions to the field of chemistry.
Allow the student to get creative. - Suggest the student use pictures and word art.
- Suggest the time line not be a linear line, but something 3-D.
- Suggest using a molecule structure as a base.
Alternate Procedure:
Have students divide up in to small groups to make large poster size time lines to hang on the classroom walls. Resources:
