Chapter 3: Researching Careers

Personal Academic and Career Portfolio Help

Career Research Results

Be creative in your search for sources of career information. Include books, magazines, newspaper articles, and Web sites and other electronic resources such as databases. Also list people you have interviewed or could interview and places that may be sources of information, such as local career centers and postsecondary schools. Good sources for information on career clusters include Glencoe's career clusters Web site and the Web site of the States' Career Clusters Initiative.

Your career research is a work in progress. Revise this part of your portfolio frequently to keep it up to date and to tailor the information to your evolving career goals.
