After You Read

  1. A job objective is the type of job you want. You might need to change an objective to match the job for which you are applying.
  2. Answers may include four of the following: make sure all the information is correct; make sure you have included the best information; have a teacher, family member, or adult worker read your résumé; read you résumé to make sure everything is right; use a spell-check program to make sure there are no errors in spelling or grammar; use black ink on white paper; make sure the page is not crowded with type; keep your résumé in a folder so it stays clean and unwrinkled.
  3. Answers will vary. Some of you may feel comfortable "selling" yourselves because you are outgoing or confident about their qualifications or because you feel prepared. Others may not feel comfortable because you are shy or not confident about your qualifications, or because you do not feel prepared.
