Many steps are involved between developing an idea for a product and distributing the product to consumers.
Product design means planning to make sure the product will work as intended in a safe and reliable manner, and that it can be produced at a reasonable cost.
Marketing plans introduce the product in a successful way.
The path that goods take in moving from the manufacturer to the consumer is called the supply chain.
