Chapter 4: Writing a Research Paper

Networking Features

Researching Both Print and Film
Select a horror or science fiction book you have read that has been adapted for the screen. Compare and contrast the effects of each version. Which was more captivating? More engaging? More horrifying? More believable? In a research paper, explain your view. Use correct MLA parenthetical documentation and list of Works Cited.

Creating a Hyperlinked Essay
Select two well-known individuals in the same profession—for example, politics, entertainment, or sports. Make a list for each, enumerating the different aspects of their character, behavior, beliefs, and background. Using this as an outline, write an electronic essay comparing and contrasting the two. Include at least six links to relevant Web sites to enhance readers’ experience.
