Mixed dishes can provide a variety of nutrients depending on the ingredients you use. For a quick meal or snack, keep a variety of nutrient-dense sandwich ingredients on hand. Whether you buy pizza or make it, boost its nutrition with whole-grain crust and food-group toppings. You can prepare healthful snacks and snack drinks with nourishing ingredients, using little effort. Soups and stews fit in any meal. Prepare them with foods from two or more food groups. Make broth-based soups or stews, milk-based soups and stews, and fruit soups. You can create a tasty, nutritious casserole. Skillet meals and stir-fries are other quick mixed dishes.
