You can prevent most kitchen accidents by following the rules of kitchen safety. Cuts, falls, electrical shocks, burns and fires, and poisoning are common kitchen accidents. Being prepared for accidents makes them easier to handle. This includes reacting quickly, knowing how to handle fires, giving first aid, calling for help in emergencies, and following instructions until help arrives.
