Introduction
How does Congress carry out its legislative and nonlegislative functions? What has Congress done lately? In this activity, students will learn about recent resolutions and measures of the Senate and House of Representatives. They will also see what the "week ahead" holds for our nation's lawmakers.

Lesson Description
Students will explore a Web site sponsored by the Library of Congress (THOMAS). They will study current resolutions passed by the Senate and the House of Representatives, as well as current measures under deliberation. They will also study upcoming committee meetings and decide which meeting they would be interested in attending, and why.
