Using a collection of lenses of varying strengths, have students examine different objects such as a bug's leg, newspaper print, or plant parts, and draw what they see. Have students work with a partner to create a unique ten-image picture book of interesting objects at very close range. Students may choose to present their images with a theme, such as Tiny Nature, or a story line, such as The Day I Shrunk Myself. Rubric:
