It isn't always easy for seniors and teens to relate. After all, they usually lead very different lives and have very different perspectives. However, these differences can also be interesting and fun. Teens and seniors may find that they have something to learn from one another. On the Web site below, you will read about a program called The Friends of Seniors Foundation and see a video in which teens and seniors talk about spending time together.

Instructions

  • Start at Friends of Seniors Foundation Web site.
  • Read the homepage, then click on the "Programs" tab and read the general description of the program.
  • Return to the home page and click on the "New Video" link at the bottom of the page to see a short clip in which teens and seniors talk about their time together.
  • When you are done, answer the questions below
  • Finally, using the information provided, create a flyer that encourages teens to get to know older adults.
