Introduction
In Chapter 3, you've studied guidelines for good listening, tips for note taking and common barriers to listening. In this activity, you will listen to a radio feature story by NPR's Robert Smith, "Julliard Students Learn to Avoid Stage Fright." In the story, Smith reports on a course given at the Julliard School in New York City called "Performance Enhancement 675." While you listen, be sure to practice using the guidelines for good listening and think about any barriers to listening that you encounter.
