Figure It Out  The regular price of a set of pots and pans is $199.00. A department store is offering the set for 35% off. How much will the pots and pans cost after the discount?

Step 1  Convert the percentage to a decimal.

Step 2  Multiply the decimal by the price of the shoes.

Step 3  Subtract the discount from the original price. This gives you the answer to the question.
