  1. You need to understand yourself to choose a career because you need to know your values, interests, skills, and talents in order to decide what kind of work you would enjoy and do well.
  2. There are two types of skills. Job-specific skills are skills that allow you to do a specific job task. Transferable skills are skills that you can use in many jobs and situations.
  3. This statement appears on page 39. You may agree or disagree, but your answers should show that you understand that an unused talent has little practical value.
