Introduction

Students have read about the writing process. In this lesson, they will practice revising for parallel structure.

 
Lesson Description

Students will revise sentences to make their structure parallel. If necessary, students may omit words, rearrange their order, or change their forms. If a sentence is correct, students should write correct.

  1. Audiences won't enjoy a play that is boring, long, or confusing.
  2. A successful director not only recognizes a good script but also brings that script to life.

  10. Drama critics must not only form their own opinions about a play but also be mindful of the message that the director, cast, and designers are trying to convey.
