You can read a brief description of each item below and then access these resources by selecting the item to the left under the Instructor Resources menu.

Instructor’s Manual – Authors’ Perspective sections to provide teaching tips and insights from the authors about how they make best use of the structure and content of each chapter.

Data Analytics Resources – Implementation guide to show instructors various types of data analytics assignments available (Data Visualizations, Dashboard Activities, and Applying Tableau). Also included is a guide to getting started with Tableau for those using Applying Tableau assignments. A Data Analytics question bank is available within Connect for each chapter.

CPA Evolution Model Curriculum Notes – A description of all auto-graded assignments available within Connect to help students develop skills needed in today’s business world.

CPA Evolution Model Curriculum Updates – Guide that cross references the Learning Objectives outlined in the AICPA’s model curriculum and the material in Financial Accounting.

SmartBook 2.0 Instructor Videos – Video giving instructors an overview of SmartBook 2.0 and guidance in how to provide these assignments.

Instructor PowerPoint Presentation – Animated PowerPoint presentations of key topics and illustrations in each chapter. A separate set of accessible slides is available, allowing content to be read by a screen reader.

Test Bank – Test Builder is a cloud-based tool that enables instructors to format tests that can be printed or administered within a Learning Management System. Test Builder offers a modern, streamlined interface for easy content configuration that matches course needs, without requiring a download. These files provide true-false, multiple-choice, matching, exercises, and other types of problems to help build exams, quizzes, or any assignment. The test bank is also available within Connect as an additional question bank for each chapter.

Solutions Manual – Solutions to all Questions, Brief Exercises, Exercises, Problems, and Real-World Perspective Cases.

Sample Syllabus – An example of a syllabus used in the Financial Accounting course of one of the authors.

Conversion Guide – A guide that provides a mapping of assignments in the current edition of the book versus the prior edition. The guide also provides a listing of key tags for all chapter assignments (Learning Objective, Topic, AACSB, AICPA, Bloom’s, Difficulty Level, Completion Time, and other information).
