About the Author



Wanda Teays is currently Professor and Chair of Philosophy at Mount St. Mary's College in Los Angeles. Until 1997, she taught graduate courses for the Critical and Creative Thinking Program at UMass Boston. She co-edited (with Laura Purdy) Bioethics, Justice, and Health Care (Wadsworth, 2001) and enjoys research and writing in the fields of bioethics and the law. As a Critical Thinking consultant, she has worked with faculty and administrators of school districts and universities to develop students' analytical skills and demonstrate real-world applications. She has also given talks and workshops for universities on incorporating diverse perspectives across the curriculum.
