Chapter 19: Financial Statements for a Corporation

Working in the Real World

If a company is required to disclose its financial information to the public, you will find it at the Securities and Exchange Commission's EDGAR web site (www.sec.gov/edgar/searchedgar/webusers.htm). The EDGAR database can be searched in several ways. It contains filings of annual reports, quarterly reports, and other items that are required by the SEC.
