Tracey Bretag, BA (Hons), MA, Ed.D, coordinates the core
communication course for both EAL and local students in the
School of Management at the University of South Australia.
She teaches the Managing communication in business course in Adelaide, Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia. Bretag focuses on best classroom practice for EAL students, the
implementation of student plagiarism policies, and the learning and communication opportunities of computer-mediated communication. Bretag’s other research interests include educational integrity, Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL), interculturality, and gender equity.
Joanna Crossman, Dip.HE, BA (Hons), PGCE, Dip.Nurs.Ed.,
Dip. TEFL, MEd., Ed.D, coordinates transnational deliveries of the course Managing communications in business in the School of Management at the University of South Australia. This subject is taught in Adelaide, Hong Kong, Malaysia and Singapore. She also chairs the International Education in Business Research Group. Crossman has held a number of management and academic positions in Norway, England, the United Arab Emirates, Malaysia and Australia. She has also managed her own successful consultancy advising on ELICOS accreditation and international education. Crossman's research and publications reflect an interest in transnational learning, learning and work, international education, innovative assessment and subjective influences in teaching and learning, such as spirituality, emotions and relationships.
Sarbari Bordia, BA, MA., MEd., PHD, coordinates Managing Communication skills for local and international students in the School of Management at the University of South Australia. She teaches onshore as well as in offshore locations. Bordia conducts research on student expectations, motivation, psychological contracts and satisfaction in business education and language learning contexts. She is a member of the International Education in Business Research Group. Her other research interests include Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL), applied linguistics, multi-lingual corporate communication and intercultural communication.
