community:  A group of people with something in common, such as the local community of citizens in a neighborhood or a faith-based community associated with a house of worship. (p. 12)
conflict:  A disagreement or difference of opinion with another person. (p. 25)
forming:  The first stage in Tuckman's Group Development model, in which group members are getting to know each other, sharing background information, learning about the project they will be working on together, and determining roles and responsibilities. (p. 23)
norming:  The third stage in Tuckman's Group Development model, in which the team works through its conflicts and starts to establish team norms, or basic agreements and expectations about how team members will behave and how the team will work together. (p. 23)
performing:  The fourth stage in Tuckman's Group Development model, in which teams work together effectively and efficiently toward their goal. (p. 23)
self-esteem:  The feelings and thoughts you have about yourself. (p. 4)
storming:  The second stage in Tuckman's Group Development model, in which the team begins to work together, bringing everyone's different styles and expectations to the task at hand. (p. 23)
values:  Personal or organizational beliefs that guide what is acceptable behavior and what is unacceptable. (p. 6)
