1			Read the Introduction to this book on Bantu Myths and Legends. According to this author, what are the common elements of the various Bantu systems of belief regarding the "spirit world"? What does this common ground tell us about the Bantu societies?
2			Read Chapter III: Legends of the High Gods. What qualities do the Bantu ascribe to their "high gods." How do the people relate to these gods? How does this relationship compare to that of the Egyptians and their gods as explained in the text and on the above website? What do these similarities and differences in the relationships between gods and humans in these cultural myths tell us about these respective societies individually and comparatively?
3			Read chapters XVII-XIX, which tell about the animal stories in Bantu myths and legends. With what types of characteristics do these stories imbue animals? How do their depictions of animals compare to that of the Egyptians? Once again, do these similarities and contrasts tell us anything about these respective cultures?
