Students will complete a matching activity based on effective and ineffective test-taking strategies.

  1. Students will distinguish between effective and ineffective strategies for review.
  2. Students will identify appropriate strategies for taking standardized tests.

  • Review in several short sessions.
  • Answer easier items first.
  • Read the directions carefully.
  • Save time to check your answers.
  • Bad Advice:
  • Wait until the night before to study.
  • Answer all items in order.
  • Don't waste time; just skim the directions.
  • If you finish before time runs out, just stop.
