Harlem and I Have a Dream

Repetition is the recurrence of sounds, words, phrases, or lines in a piece of writing. Langston Hughes and Martin Luther King, Jr. both use repetition in the literary works in this Comparing Literature section. For example, King repeats the phrase “I have a dream” to emphasize the main ideas of his speech. What is a dream that you have for yourself? Write a poem or short paragraph about this dream. Use repetition to emphasize your main points.
