The New Colossus and Childhood

“The New Colossus” and “Childhood” are both sonnets, but they are composed in very different voices and have different subject matters. For this activity, imagine a conversation between the speakers of each poem. What would they say to each other? Write a page of dialogue in which the two speakers talk about their experiences in the United States.
