Harriet Tubman

Imagine you are Harriet Tubman. Write a speech that you will give to a group that invited you to receive a Lifetime Achievement Award. Use Eloise Greenfield’s poem for information about Tubman’s life. You might start out with “My name is Harriet Tubman. I escaped from slavery by running away to the North . . . .” Use words from the poem to give the speech a dramatic ending.
