The Tell-Tale Heart

“The Tell-Tale Heart” is written in the first-person point of view. The narrator begins his story by saying that he is not “mad,” but that he has a disease that has “sharpened” his senses. Do you think the narrator is mad? Why or why not? Explain in two sentences why you think he is or is not mad. Beneath this, explain how the story would have been different if it had been written in the third-person point of view.
