Cross-Curricular Connections

In “Spiders”, a woman walks into a spider web and screams very loudly. As the author says, she screams “at about the level of a fire engine at full cry”. This scream probably did not hurt the author’s hearing, but standing next to a fire engine screaming “at full cry” might.
