Reading-Writing Connection Activities

1.

How the Snake Got Poison

Most stories, including "How the Snake Got Poison," have a beginning, a middle, and an end. In the beginning, there is often a problem that needs to be resolved, and at the end, the problem is solved. For this activity, write down three words across the top of a sheet of paper: beginning, middle, and end. Underneath each word, write a sentence about what happens at that part in the story. When you are finished, share your diagram with a friend.
