Big Idea Web Quest

Introduction

Does the definition of a hero change with the times or does it remain constant? Are there common characteristics in the many definitions of a hero? Does the definition change across cultures? The hero is a concept that is constantly explored and included in literature and sometimes shows up in the most surprising of characters.

For this exercise, you will read examples of who some people have considered heroes. Then you will write about any common characteristics of heroes and describe what a hero is to you.
