Brighton Beach Memoirs

The selection of Brighton Beach Memoirs that you read is a conversation between two brothers, Stan and Eugene. For this activity, imagine that it is the next day and Stan has decided not to give Mr. Stroheim a letter of apology, even if it means going without money until he finds a new job. He and Eugene are looking through the newspaper, trying to find him a new job. Write a page of dialogue between the two of them. Try your best to imitate the voices of the characters in the selection. When you are finished, act out your scene with a partner.
