The Scribe

A scribe is someone who reads and writes for people who are unable to read and write. For this activity, find a partner and pick a family member or a friend to whom you want to send a letter. Compose the letter together with one person serving as the scribe and the other as the speaker. The speaker says his or her letter out loud and the scribe types it in the box below. When you are finished, switch roles and write another letter. You can also email your letters, if you wish.
