About the Cover

About the Cover
The sculpture There is a centerpiece of the City Center in downtown Oakland, California. Artist Roslyn Mazzilli says that her sculptures are inspired by the images and colors of nature. The sculpture is constructed of aluminum welded and bolted together in progressions to form spirals and curves. You will study functions with graphs that are curves in Units 2 and 3.

About the Graphics
