Project Type: History
Have the student discover some of earth’s inhabitants of different time periods by using the fossil record.

Task:
Have students research a period in the geologic time scale and then chart the possible Earth inhabitants of that period. Have them create a drawing that shows what they think might have been a typical scene during that period in Earth’s history. Categories may include:

  • plants
  • fish
  • reptiles
  • mammals
  • birds
