In Chapter 9, you learned the importance of working well with others. First you looked at your own relationships with friends, family, and people in your community. You learned that showing respect for others is a basic skill that employers look for in employees. Then you learned how to build good relationships, how to prevent conflict, and how to use problem-solving skills to deal with conflicts that do arise.

You learned about the importance of teamwork and collaboration in the workplace. You identified ways in which you already work on teams and learn which skills contribute to team success. Finally, you learned that setting and achieving goals in a group requires different roles, special skills, good communication, responsibility, and the ability to arrive at a consensus.
