Unit Project 3

Salt Research

Project Type: Technology

Using a variety of resources, research what elements are used to make salts, how they are made, where they can be found, and where they are used. You may be interested in researching bath salts and their popularity in today’s society. Some suggestions might include:

Sodium chloride (NaCl),
Potassium chloride (KCl),
Ammonium chloride (NH4Cl),
Magnesium sulfate (MgSO4),
Sodium Sulfate (Na2SO4),
Potassium acetate (CH3CO2K),
Sodium nitrate (NaNO3)
Barium Sulfate (BaSO4)
Copper(II) acetate (Cu(CH3CO2)), or
Ammonium sulfate ((NH4)2SO4).
