Here is Earth racing at me doing 50 km/s. What velocity do I need to get out of the way? First, I need to know how large Earth is and then it is simply a matter of going that distance within three months. Naturally, I want to give myself that velocity in a perpendicular direction to Earth.

Not all that fast, but the logistics of accelerating an asteroid up to that speed are almost insurmountable.
