Introduction
Have you ever read a book or seen a movie about an imaginary character or place you thought seemed real? Realistic details give your imagination the framework to picture this other reality.

In this exercise, you will read selections by two different writers that use vivid details and description to create another world and unique characters. Then you will write either a poem or paragraph using details to create either an imaginary character or place.
