This site offers daily reading-related news, an announcement board for various literacy-related events, and an online forum for discussing literacy techniques and developments. The teaching tools include lesson plans, booklists, and parent resources. “Focus on Topics in Reading ” addresses specific issues related to readers of all ages and levels.

Reading Online

Reading Online is the International Reading Association's online journal. The site focuses on literacy practice and research in classrooms from kindergarten through high school. It offers original features and peer-reviewed articles, reviews, and website recommendations, as well as articles from some of the International Reading Association's other journals. It is a great resource for current research, ideas, and general knowledge about reading.

Read Write Think

This site is a joint venture between the International Reading Association and the National Council of Teachers of English. It offers various lesson plans and web resources, as well as student materials and standards for English language learners. The calendar marks important dates in literary history.

Online Writing Centers
STET ALL, except for the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute Writing Center Handouts website, which should be deleted for space. Also, change the name from the “National Writing Centers Association” to “The Writer's Garden.”

Grammar and Composition Sites
